Cookie Settings, Explained

Three categories, one switch for each, and nothing optional until you say so.

Effective 13 October 2026. A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser; similar technologies include local storage. Here is how solvieracry uses them.

Your choice comes first

On your first visit a bar at the bottom of the screen offers three buttons: Accept All, Reject All and Manage Preferences. The bar does not block the page. Until you choose, only necessary storage is used.

The three categories

Necessary (always on)
Remembers your cookie choice in your browser's local storage under the key solvieracry_cookie_choice_v1, kept for up to 12 months. Without it we would have to ask you on every page.
Analytics (off unless you allow it)
Would count visits and show which pages readers find useful, in aggregated form.
Advertising / affiliate (off unless you allow it)
Would let affiliate networks and booking partners record that you arrived from solvieracry, so a commission can be credited, and would help us measure advertising.

At present the site loads no analytics or advertising scripts at all; the categories exist so that your choice is recorded before any such tool is added. If we add one, we will name it here.

Changing your mind

Use (also in every footer) to switch categories on or off and save. You can also clear site data in your browser settings, which resets the choice and brings the bar back.

Cookies on other websites

Hotel websites and booking platforms you visit from our links set their own cookies under their own policies. Please review those when you arrive.
