Who we are

solvieracry is a small travel publication about grand addresses — hotels whose buildings, views or stories make them destinations in themselves. The site is published by HIT d.d., registered at Kidričeva ulica 7, 5000 Nova Gorica, Slovenia. You can reach the editors at contact@solvieracry.com.

We write for travellers. The hotels in our list all have a casino on the premises, which is why the list carries the title it does, but our interest stops at the reception desk: we cover rooms, architecture, dining, pools, spas and what lies outside the front door.

How we make money

We are paid through affiliate links. When you follow a "Check availability" or "Compare on Booking.com" link and later complete a booking, the hotel or the booking platform may pay us a commission. You pay the same price you would pay without us. We do not sell placements, accept payment for positions in the list or take free stays in exchange for coverage. Methodology and selection criteria

Every hotel on the list is assessed against the same four questions:

1. Is it a landmark? We look for history, architecture or a silhouette that people recognise — a palace on a famous square, a skyline-defining tower, a seafront façade.
2. Is the stay worth it on its own? We consider the range of room types and views, the restaurants, pools, spa and services a guest can use.
3. Does the setting add to the trip? Walkable sights, a beach, a river, a view of a natural wonder — the neighbourhood counts.
4. Can we describe it clearly and honestly? We need enough public, verifiable information to explain transfers, fees and rules without guessing.

The order reflects editorial judgement across those four questions, with an eye to giving a fair spread of regions and trip types. It is not a price ranking.

Editorial guidelines

• We use official hotel websites and public sources, and we keep facts conservative. If we are not sure about a number, we leave it out and ask you to confirm at booking.
• We never invent ratings, review counts, testimonials, prices or "booked today" claims.
• The casino is mentioned once per hotel, as a neutral facility. We do not describe what happens inside it.
• All illustrations on the site are our own drawings. We do not use hotel logos or photographs.
• Commercial relationships never decide what we write, which hotels appear or how they are ordered.

Corrections policy

Hotels renovate, rename restaurants and change their rules. If you spot something wrong or out of date, write to contact@solvieracry.com or use the contact form and tell us what you saw and where. We aim to review every report within a week, correct confirmed errors promptly and update the "last reviewed" date below. Substantial corrections are noted on the page concerned.
