Privacy Notice
Plain language on what we collect and the choices you have.
Effective 13 October 2026. This notice explains what information passes through solvieracry when you read the site or write to us, why, and what you can do about it.
Who is responsible
The data controller is HIT d.d., Kidričeva ulica 7, 5000 Nova Gorica, Slovenia. Questions about this notice go to privacy@solvieracry.com or contact@solvieracry.com.
What we collect
- Connection details — your IP address and the user agent string your browser sends (browser type, version, operating system), recorded by our hosting provider in server logs.
- Approximate location — a rough country or city derived from your IP address. We never request precise GPS location.
- Messages you send — your name, email address, chosen topic and message text when you contact us through the form (which opens your own email app) or by email.
- Cookie choice — whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies, stored in your browser.
- Optional cookie data — only if you switch on analytics or advertising/affiliate cookies: page views, referring page and the click on a partner link.
Why we use it
- Running and securing the site — server logs help us deliver pages and spot abuse (legitimate interest).
- Analytics — understanding which pages help readers, so we can improve them (your consent).
- Marketing and affiliate attribution — letting booking partners know a visit came from us so we can be paid commission, and measuring how our pages perform in advertising (your consent).
- Answering you — replying to messages and handling correction or privacy requests (legitimate interest, or steps you asked us to take).
Who receives it
We share data only with service providers who help us run the site — hosting, email and, if you consent, analytics tools — and with affiliate networks and booking partners when you follow a partner link. Those partners may be located outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area or the UK. Where that happens we rely on recognised safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. Once you are on a hotel's or a booking platform's own website, their privacy policy applies.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Allowing advertising/affiliate cookies may count as "sharing" for cross-context advertising under California law; you can refuse or withdraw at any time through "Manage cookies".
How long we keep it
- Server logs: up to 30 days, unless needed longer to investigate a security issue.
- Emails and form messages: up to 24 months after the conversation ends.
- Cookie choice: up to 12 months, after which we ask again.
- Analytics data, if enabled: up to 14 months in aggregated form.
Your rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR
You may ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of use or a portable copy; you may object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. You may also complain to your local data protection authority; the lead authority for the operator is the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia (Informacijski pooblaščenec, Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana, ip-rs.si).
Your rights under the CCPA / CPRA (California)
California residents may ask what personal information we have collected and how it is used, ask us to delete or correct it, and opt out of sale or sharing. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights. An authorised agent may act for you with proof of authority.
Making a request
Write to privacy@solvieracry.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity and will answer within one month (45 days for California requests), extending only where the law allows and telling you why.
Children
This site is meant for adults planning travel. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
